“I invented Button Helper in 2013 to help a friend with Cerebral Palsy. He was uncomfortable being dressed by his mother and longed for independence. My invention empowered him to dress in the school’s uniform with dignity, independence, and ease.
Button Helper sold out on Zappos Adaptive within 5 days of launching and won the 2020 Leonsis Family Prize. Through a partnership with Sunovion Pharmaceuticals and the Parkinson's Foundation, we have given away over 22,000 boxes.
The new version of Button Helper was co-developed with the US Department of Veterans Affairs and is available at 1,298 of their healthcare facilities. Fulfillment of these orders provides meaningful employment opportunities to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.”
